A friend of mine who is a Christian send me an email showing the
pictures of a man carrying a large wooden CROSS and is complaining
about the difficulty in carrying it. Along the way, he keep asking
for the CROSS to be cut shorter each time so that it's make easier to
carry. However, when the man finally reached the cliff end and wanted
to cross, he's not able to do so anymore as the CROSS that he carries
is too short to connect to the other side. Whereas, the others who are
carrying the long difficult CROSS is able to reach the other side.
The moral of the story : Never ask for your burden to be lessen as
there's always a reason for the difficult path along your life path.
Even though i'm not a Christian, some how or the other, this story
did motivate me to carry on no matter how difficult the path may be.
I'M HANGING ON THERE.

Rose Buds Tea
While browsing thru' my old folders, found this picture that i took some times ago.
This is actually a souvenir given to me while attending a wedding - it's actually rose buds tea. It's comes in a little tube with a note that reads like this:
" TEA FOR TWO
Step 1: Place buds in cup
Step 2: Add hot water
Step 3: Watch it bloom
Step 4: Enjoy with your love ones "
In real life, is it so easy to see a relationship bloom?
Steam Cake & Mooncake
Steam a chocolate sandwich steam cake last week. This cake is very simple to do but very delicious. There's no flour involve, just butter, eggs and marie biscuits. Hubby's friend all say very nice. However, i have yet to master the skill of creating nice graphics on the cake surface.
These mooncakes are given to me by a friend. Hubby loves it so much. Indeed, it's very yummy! The lotus paste is not very sweet and the pastry is soft..............oOoo.......... yummy yummy!

1st successful whole cake
Tdy i bake my 1st successful whole cake. Actually i got the ingredients for this sponge cake with SP quite sometime ago but just didn't have the courage to make becos all this while when i tried to make a whole cake, the centre usually come out too wet, otherwise the exterior is burnt. Therefore, even though i have all the ingredients ready, but the thought of unsuccessful making really puts me off. Tdy finally managed to make one complete cake without the burnt and wet centre. However, the height of the cake is still not very good - only 4.5 cm high only. I'm not sure whether is it becos my weighing machine problem or is it becos i really got the wrong measurement. I guess the baking powder and sponge cake stabiliser may be incorrect. My weighing machine seems quite difficult to make small measurement. Or is it becos the oven temperature is not correct becos inorder to prevent the burnt effects, instead of setting the temperature at 180 degree celsius, i set it at 170 degress celsius, this temperature seems perfect to cure the burnt cake problem. Well, as long as i'm not trying to slice the cake to put in fillings, i think this cake seems perfect.

TAU SAR PIAH
However, i found the amount of oil stated in the orginal recipe is too much thou. Therefore, i reduce it on my own. End result is really tasty. Look simple, but actually not. It takes me half a day to complete this. From soaking the green beans to baking the Tau Sar Piah.
Viola! Yummy yummy, never expect myself to be able to produce such good snack - mmm............ as good as the famous Penang Tau Sar Piah.....
